What an ecommerce project with D&C looks like
A store makes money in ordinary moments. A customer finds the right shade, trusts the price, pays without hesitating and receives the parcel on the day you promised. Campaigns bring people to the door; the store decides whether they buy. We design and build for those moments, and for the team that opens the admin panel every morning.
Shopify, WooCommerce or headless
We build on all three, so the recommendation follows your business rather than our habits.
- Shopify is our default for most D2C brands. Hosting, security and checkout are handled for you, the app ecosystem is deep and a small team can run it. We keep the app list short, because every app is another script slowing the product page.
- WooCommerce makes sense when content and commerce belong in one WordPress site, when product rules are unusual, or when you want full control of hosting and data. Done properly it is fast. Done carelessly it becomes the slowest store on the internet, which is one reason we host what we build.
- Headless pairs a custom storefront, usually Next.js or Shopify Hydrogen, with a commerce engine underneath. It pays off for content led brands, for several brands or countries on one catalogue, and for a web store and app that share one cart. For a single brand at an early stage it is usually vanity, and we will say so.
Our Shopify vs WooCommerce guide walks through the choice by order volume, catalogue and team.
The Indian stack, wired in from day one
In India a store is only as good as its plumbing. We connect Razorpay or Cashfree for UPI, cards, net banking and cash on delivery rules by pin code; Shiprocket for courier choice, rates, labels and tracking; and GST invoices with the right HSN codes and tax split, synced to Tally or Zoho Books so finance stops retyping orders. Order and delivery updates go out on WhatsApp, where customers actually read them.
Selling in the Gulf instead? The details change: AED pricing, 5% VAT, Tabby and Tamara at checkout, and right to left layouts for Arabic. Our page for teams in Dubai and the UAE covers how we work across the Gulf.
Rehearsed like a sale day
Before a big campaign, we rehearse. At two minutes to midnight, before a sale goes live, someone in the studio places a real order on a mid range Android over mobile data, and the rest of us watch it travel from checkout to payment to the courier queue. If it stumbles, there is still time to fix it. The habit comes from our hosting years, when a Sunday outage was ours to answer.
Beyond the storefront
The customer sees a product page. Your team sees orders, returns, stock and sellers, so we design the admin and fulfilment tools as carefully as anything a customer touches. When stock lives in a POS or an ERP, we connect it: a multi-store retail chain in Pune now runs 14 stores on one inventory, synced every 5 minutes, through our ERP, CRM and POS integration work. For marketplaces, Made By Bharat brought more than 100 vendors onto buyer, seller and admin systems we designed and built together.
After launch
A store is never finished. Care & Grow plans watch speed and uptime daily, keep themes and apps current, and run monthly conversion experiments with our growth team. If you are weighing a new store or a move from your current platform, start with a conversation.
